For doors that are always open during normal operation, but in the event of a fire they must close automatically, the T46/T50 EF offers a stable and permanent solution: the integrated magnetic base allows for a regular manual pushing shut without damaging the system. The locking bracket can be defined between 80-135°.
- No electrical connection cable required to the door
- Minimal maintenance with he use of standard door closesr
- High strength and long life
- Top price-performance ratio
- Breaker button on the magnetic latch
Use: Hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the disabled, industrial or public buildings.
It is designed for use on doors that must be open during normal operation and locked via a locking device. In the event of a fire it guarantees a secure magnetic closing. The structure consists of a base plate, closer and holding magnet. During the first tensioning, the magnetic arm docks on the electric holding magnetic, thus activating the locking. In the event of a fire the power supply to the electric holding magnet is stopped, the magnetic arm is released and the door closes automatically. The required door opening angle is set with the coupling on the magnetic arm between 80 - 135°.
1. Tensioning
When the door is first opened, the door closer is tensioned (rotated) until the magnetic arm strikes the holding magnet. The required door opening angle is set with the coupling on the magnetic arm.
2. Normal operation
In normal operation, the door remains open in the stopped state at the set holding angle. If in an exceptional case the door is closed, the door can be easily pulled by hand. After that the door closer must be retensioned (repeat step 1) in order to guarantee the alarm function.
3. Alarm
The electric holding magnet is dead when the alarm goes off. The magnetic arm rotates and securely closes the door.
