With self-closing doors that must be closed in the event of a fire against the positive pressure of an RDA system.
A speciality door closer from TJSS for self-closing doors: usually the FD-FD-T50/T44 T44 works as a normal door closer. In the event of a fire, the free-wheel door closer is turned on and thus enables a secure closing, even against the positive pressure of an RDA system.
- The use of a standard door closer
- Minimal maintenance and long life guarantee high efficiency
- Easy installation and guaranteed purchase by competent authorities
- No electrical connection cable (wall mounted door closer)
- No slipping or creeping shut of the door, no springback (pressure build-up)
- Breaker button on the magnetic latch
Use: Hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the disabled and RDA systems, which have to guarantee a secure closure at 50 Pa positive pressure.
The FD-T44 is a free-wheel double door closer with standard arms designed to be used together with an RDA system. Generally, the FDS-T44 works like a normal door closer. In the event of a fire the free-wheel door closer switches on, allowing a secure closing, even against the positive pressure of an RDA system. The required door opening angle can be adjusted with the coupling on the magnetic arm (max. 160 degrees).
1. Tensioning
When the door is first opened, the door closer is tensioned (rotated) until the magnetic arm strikes the holding magnet.
2. Normal operation
The electric holding magnet is turned on and holds the door closer in place. The lower door closer works like a normal door closer all the while.
3. Alarm
The electric holding magnet is dead when the alarm goes off. The magnetic arm rotates and pushes the door with the power of two door closers into the closed position.
